Well, SU lost last night. I wish I could say I'm disappointed, but it was a fair loss. So good luck to all of the "little" teams that are handing out upsets left and right. My brackets broke week one, but I held on during a round robin for a long time. I think I'm pretty much out of it now.
On the other hand the ladies of Nebraska are making a strong showing so I hope they do continue to do well. Regardless of who wins, March madness is still my favorite time of year.

St Patty's in the Air
Hi Everyone,
I just finished my St Patricks day cards and thought I would post one. I used some reminisce paper I had, gable green cardstock for the base, Garden green for the shamrock and gable green for the horseshoe. I shaded the horseshoe with chalk. The studs I found at a scrapbook store, but the top fell off the package so I don't know what brand they are- but you can find them with the other gems.
I cut the hat w/ my cricut using the Designer Calendar cartridge and I used the Old West cartridge for the horseshoe. There is also a shamrock available on the Child's Play cartridge but I don't have that one.
On the inside I stamped Happy St, Patricks day.
This break in the dull weather certainly makes everyone's spirits a little better.
Hope you are enjoying it as well. (Even though it is pretty sad that I'm excited it's over 30 degrees). But I always say 30 with sun is better than 30 without sun.
Have a great week!
Happy Stamping!

A Chance to Play
Hey everyone,
Well finally after keeping my nose to the grindstone with my Master's Degree I was able to sneak away and get some paper crafting time. I was fortunate to meet an online friend from splitcoast at a local scrapbook store called Busy Scrapper in Bellevue. I also met the owner of the store Bev who was very nice. The scrap room was roomy and Jan and I had a great time stamping and making a cute little Valentine basket and just getting to know one another. She is a transplant from Wisconsin.
Sunday I got a chance to take an advanced Cricut class where I learned about cutting some chipboard and using vinyl. Another fun group of ladies made it a fun day.
Now back to work because I have a project due on Friday and I'm not very far into the finished product.
I know I still haven't posted the photos I promised. I hope to do so soon. So many ideas, so little time.
Take care and Happy Stamping!

It's a conspiracy!
Well clearly there is a conspiracy in Omaha to keep me from watching Syracuse Basketball games. They are all on Pay per view this year! I got up early. Did some homework, worked on a special order, made a sandwich, sat down to watch the game and low and behold it isn't there. It's only on pay per view. Earlier this week when I checked the Syracuse web page it said ESPNU would show it. I guess I will call Cox on Monday and see how much that sports package will set me back. They opted to show a Butler game yesterday over other nationally ranked teams and now this.
So...I'm off to my stamp room to get some cleaning done and finish the project from this morning. I just got my scallop edge punch so I think I will play with that too. Hopefully I will get some pictures posted this week.
Have a good one!

PS...it didn't snow today YIPEE!

Happy New Year- Slimming down
Well I have to admit the Holidays took more of my time and school has me hopping. I thought I would have more time for this blog but it seems I don't have as much as I would like.
However, as with every New Year there are some resolutions to be made. I've made the same one every year- Slim down! But this year I'm adding a twist. No I didn't try a new diet or exercise-- I am converting to StampinUP new stamps. They are smaller and you mount them on acrylic. There is a tutorial on the StampinUP! website, and you can link from here. The stamps are not clear, they have the red rubber. I just got my first set the other day. I will play with them this weekend.
Tonight I am busy because there is a Syracuse Basketball game on TV and I want to watch the game and I have homework (ugh).
I am also experimenting with two other "New" tools. I got a Cricut Gypsy for Christmas (a gift for myself) and I am attemping my first digital creations with the StampinUP! program "My Digital Studio" I can't believe how easy it is! I have to figure out how to post my pages.
I donated a lot of unsold cards to the Nebraska Veteran's home. If you would like to donate handmade cards for them to send to their loved ones(many of them don't get out to shop) just let me know and I will coordinate with you to get them to the home.
I wish all of you the best for 2010 and I hope to see you soon.
Best Wishes and Happy Stamping!

HappyThanksgiving
Hi Everyone,
It seems I have the "blogspot flu" fixed and now I can post again. Thanks for checking back. I've just finished my Thanksgiving cards using the fall rub ons from Stampinup and some very simple leaf paper I found in my "stash". Don't forget you can use your "extras" for some cute place cards or cupcake designs, napkin rings etc. Get creative. I'll try to post some Christmas ideas.
If you want to submit me a wishlist feel free to do so and then give my email to your family and friends. I'll work to order your favorites for you. Here are some ideas: Big Shot, packs of paper, the new Design studio for your computer, and of course stamps! I will also have gift certificates available.
I'll be at South High schools craft fair this year again and also at Millard. Come out for a visit!
Everyone have a great Turkey day!

This week
Well this week has been interesting. I have been working on some Halloween (yes Halloween!) cards because I was 'inspired' by some paper I ran across. I also pre-ordered the newest Halloween paper that will be out in the Holiday mini so I can post some samples. But with nice weather and a cool breeze (yes it was only 90! in July in Nebraska) it was hard to stay inside.
So needless to say I didn't get much done.
I have also been playing w/ my cricut design studio software. It makes cutting quantities of things much easier. Of course, I cut the ghosts and scallops with my big shot. If any of you are interested in purchasing a big shot let me know. It cuts just about anything! I'm going to make some treat boxes and get those on the website soon to help get your creative Halloween juices flowing as well as maybe some cute little cards.
In the meantime, I would love to hear from you and see your creations. Don't forget that this is the last deal of the week! So if you are in need of heart punch now is the time to get it at a great price.
Happy Stamping!
