Hey everyone, Happy Monday!
Today I am sharing the cover of an album that I recently completed. I was asked to this album for my neighbor's Mom who was celebrating her 82nd Birthday. I felt so fortunate to do this for her. The pictures provided were of her Grandparents and parents, she and her husband and her children and grandchildren. It was great.
The album is from BoBunny and the pages are 9X9. I used some K&Company paper I had in my stash for the cover. I used a vintage doily that I had and I sprayed that with some Art Archaeology mist that I had so that it would be green. I layered that with a die from Sizzix called Vintage doily and the the flowers from Prima Marketing and the bling. The dies from Tim Holtz are of a bird cage and a bird. I die cut the cage from chipboard and painted it- then I added some crackle glaze and the pearls at the bottom from FabScraps. I cut the bird from paper and used my distress inks in Worn Lipstick and Tea dye along the edges. The pennant is from Heidi Swapp. You just add ink and it has resist on it. I like the way it turned out.
I'll share some more of the album in the future. I hope you enjoy!
Happy Crafting!

Get in the Fall Spirit
Hello Everyone,
Well I'm back. So just to catch you up...I had to step away from the blog for a while- I was taking care of my Mom. Luckily, she seems to be doing great so now I'm back.
Today I'm sharing some Halloween cards that I made for a class that I'm teaching on Saturday the 14th of September at the Scrappin' Studio in Gretna Nebraska. You can call Barb or email her at scrappinfo@yahoo.com to sign up for the class. It starts at 10:30. Although it's 90 degrees here...before you know it fall will be here and Halloween will be upon us, so I thought I better get some cards ready.
I hope to see you there. These cards were made using some die cuts we have in the store from My Mind's eye. They are cute and not too scary for the little goblins in your life.
I look forward to sharing more of my projects and inspiration here soon.
Happy Creating!

Blue valentine
Hello Everyone,
It has been really hard to get into my craft room this week. We have been experiencing unusually warm temps so I've actually been outside in the evenings after work. Who ever heard of 60 degrees in January in Nebraska? Well one day this week we did! I won't complain.
However, this weekend I went to work creating a new card for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge. You can see all of the submissions here: http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/search/label/challenge
I have been working on Valentine cards and when I saw this challenge I knew right away I would use one of my Crafty Secrets images. Who says a Valentine has to be red? I also used a Martha Stewart punch and of course a Cheery Lynn Design die called Italian Flourish. I just love how delicate it is. I cut it out of Vellum. I added an antiqued heart doily and some resin roses and a rose shaped button. I like the end result and I hope you do too.

Bo Bunny Cherub
Hey everyone,
I thought I would share another card that I did with the adorable Bo Bunny cherub. I embossed a piece of pink card stock and then went over the design with my fired brick distess ink. I layered a pink spellbinders die and some My Minds Eye paper, a die from Flourishes stamps with the cherub is distressed with Vintage photo and the fired brick ink. I then I cut a little banner with my spellbinders die and used a rub on for the sentiment. I used a decorative corner punch on the pink embossed piece as well. I layered everything, adding some pleated ribbon, a button and two brads. I think it came out quite nice.

Happy New Year
I took a little time this New Year's day to spend some time in my craft room. It needed a little tidy to put all the Christmas stuff away and it gave me a few minutes to play with a stamp I received for Christmas. I created this card using a CheeryLynn die (French Doily) a stamp from BoBunny, some prima paper and flowers, Pink Paislee mistables tape and Ranger Inks Pearl spray in biscotti and patina and of course my Ranger distress inks. I think it came out quite well. I decided to submit it to the Cheerylynn designs challenge this week. You can view the challenge here: http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/2011/12/cheery-lynn-designs-challenge-8.html.
I hope all of you were able to spend some time doing what you enjoy most today.
Happy 2012!

Thanks for the prayers
Thanks to everyone for their prayers during Mom's stay in the hospital. We are hoping today to move from the ICU to a normal room. Her pancreas is better and her blood pressure is down somewhat.
