LaLa Land's Baking Marci

Hello Again! I hope all of you are staying warm. We are anticipating a small heat wave of 40 degrees this week, it may be a good day to wash the salt from my car. Today I'm sharing the final card that I did using the January Kit from LaLa Land Crafts. I cut a piece of sage cardstock for the base. Then I added this pink brick paper from a paper stack I had from Hobby Lobby. It's from the Paper Studio and called Country Rose. I die cut the window from a Heartfelt creations die. It has shutters on the window, but I cut them off. I used pan pastels to color the skyline behind the window. I stamped Marci with Memento Ink on Spectrum Noir paper and colored her with Spectrum Noir markers. I used a Wink of Stella pen on the button on her hair bow. Then I grabbed some pink and burgundy scraps from my bin and using the Tim Holtz Butterfly Frenzy die, I cut a bunch of butterflies. I layered them placing the biggest at the bottom and the smaller at the top. I added some hand dyed ribbon, a Prima flower and a button from my button box and I was done. I think I'll do a few of these for Valentines Day. There is a cute saying that goes with Marci that says "Baking is love made visible". I can send them to my baking friends or tie them to a bag of goodies for others. I think this would be very cute on a tag as well. Bo Bunny Vintage card

Hi Everyone , I'm back with another card I made using the Bo Bunny Juliet Collection pack (Item number 18133964). This card was so much fun to make, but so easy!. First, I layered a piece of the cardstock from the collection with postcards and script on it. Then I added a Bo Bunny small doily. The paper is called Juliet Tribute. . Next, I cut two images from Juliet Full House- I selected two of the playing cards. Next I stamped a bird from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Set with Espresso Distress Ink on the Gold Bo Bunny paper. I took a Bo Bunny laser cut Lace Tag and cut just the corners out to make my two corner embellishments. I added mushroom alcohol ink and broken china stickles to the Tim Holtz Heirloom rose. Then I died a piece of lace and danged one of the Muse tokens and Shield Charms from that. Another chance to dig around in the stash of goodies and create something. I think I'll use this as a Valentine for someone special! Have a great week. Pamela

Baking Marci from LaLa Land

Hello Again, Today I'm sharing another creation made with the stamps and dies from LaLa Land Crafts monthly January Kit. Today I chose some 6X6 Authentique paper. The collection is called Carefree. I stamped Marci on some Spectrum Noir paper with Memento Ink and colored her with Spectrum Noir pens. I apologize for the shadow on this photo but it is very gloomy here today so the lighting is not the best. I cut a rectangle of the gingham paper and used the scallop corner chomper from WeR memory keepers to cut the corners of the card and the gingham. I cut a Lattice rectangle from Spellbinders out of grey wood grain paper from the pad as well. I also cut the whisk from the same paper. I added some flowers and an enamel dot from My Mind's eye. I stamped the sentiment with the same ink and then punched it with a Marvy scallop punch and layered it together. It makes me want to bake some cookies! LaLa Land's Baking Marci

Hello Again. Today I'd like to share a card that I made using LaLa Land Stamps January Kit. This kit featured "Marci" baking up some homemade goodness. It included dies to make aprons, a rolling pin and a whisk as well as sentiments. They also delivered a cute little miniature cutting board that I am looking forward to working into a cook book for a special friend. Today's post was created using WeR Memory Keepers 6X6 pad "Country Living". I cut four borders I received in a previous kit, inked them with Vintage Photo ink and adhered them to the sides of my 5X5 square. I colored Marci with watercolors. I love the Prima Marketing watercolor pencils for the skin tones. They made a set just for that. Then I have some other watercolor pencils that I used for the dress and hair band. They are really old....I don't know what brand they are - sorry! But try the Prima pencils you will love them! I stamped Marci on Watercolor paper with Archival ink so that the pencils would blend well. I also cut the Catalina Wreath from Memory box out of a sage colored paper in the pad and inked it with vintage photo ink. I cut the rolling pin,and the whisk out of scraps, added some twine and wooden buttons, added a little metal spoon. This little cutie is sure to spread some joy soon. The greatest part is that I used my "stash" for almost all of the project, except the new stamps and dies that I received in the kit. Graphic 45 Gilded Lily Easel Card

Happy Tuesday! Can you believe it is halfway through January already? Where does the time go? Today I'm sharing another Graphic 45 card featuring "Gilded Lily" papers. I used the 8X8 papers to create an easel card. I let the papers do all of the work. I layered them after I inked the edges with Tea Dye ink from Tim Holtz. I added the die cuts on the corners from Heartfelt creations, some Prima Marketing Flowers and Voila! Graphic 45 goodness. The inside of the card was done using an image from the paper pack, some pearls using the Viva Décor Pearl pen, a Spellbinder's label die and a stamp from Hero Arts. The stamp was inked with Anna Griffin Hydrangea Blue ink. If you haven't tried an easel card, give it a try. They are simple and look fabulous. Gilded Lily Goodness

Hello Friends! Today I'm sharing a gatefold card made with an Anna Griffin Gatefold embossing folder, the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, an Anna Griffin die cut and the Gilded Lily 6X6 paper collection from Graphic 45. I also added some border Dazzles from paper wishes. I started by running some Anna Griffin pearl paper through the cuttlebug in the folder. Then I cut the two panels of gilded lily paper collection for the outside. I added the Dazzle border stickers (those are the thin lines on the front. I get them from Paper Wishes. On the inside I cut two small squares from the same page of paper that I used on the front and put those on a background. I cut gold paper on the Anna Griffin Die, then I cut the fabric with the Tattered Florals die. I added a gem to the center. I like to have a few cards around without anything stamped inside so I can grab it for a note or just stamp something later. I hope you enjoy the card!

Brrrrr- The cold continues. I have a little time so I thought I would share another Echo Park Winter Wishes card. The bear is a Silhouette download. They also have a die available to make the bear. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch as well. Inside I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix labels, a WeR memory keepers corner punch. I embossed the sentiment in silver. I hope you like it.
