Blue valentine

Hello Everyone,

It has been really hard to get into my craft room this week. We have been experiencing unusually warm temps so I've actually been outside in the evenings after work. Who ever heard of 60 degrees in January in Nebraska? Well one day this week we did! I won't complain.

However, this weekend I went to work creating a new card for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge. You can see all of the submissions here: http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/search/label/challenge

I have been working on Valentine cards and when I saw this challenge I knew right away I would use one of my Crafty Secrets images. Who says a Valentine has to be red? I also used a Martha Stewart punch and of course a Cheery Lynn Design die called Italian Flourish. I just love how delicate it is. I cut it out of Vellum. I added an antiqued heart doily and some resin roses and a rose shaped button. I like the end result and I hope you do too.

Bo Bunny Cherub

Hey everyone,

I thought I would share another card that I did with the adorable Bo Bunny cherub. I embossed a piece of pink card stock and then went over the design with my fired brick distess ink. I layered a pink spellbinders die and some My Minds Eye paper, a die from Flourishes stamps with the cherub is distressed with Vintage photo and the fired brick ink. I then I cut a little banner with my spellbinders die and used a rub on for the sentiment. I used a decorative corner punch on the pink embossed piece as well. I layered everything, adding some pleated ribbon, a button and two brads. I think it came out quite nice.

Happy New Year

I took a little time this New Year's day to spend some time in my craft room. It needed a little tidy to put all the Christmas stuff away and it gave me a few minutes to play with a stamp I received for Christmas. I created this card using a CheeryLynn die (French Doily) a stamp from BoBunny, some prima paper and flowers, Pink Paislee mistables tape and Ranger Inks Pearl spray in biscotti and patina and of course my Ranger distress inks. I think it came out quite well. I decided to submit it to the Cheerylynn designs challenge this week. You can view the challenge here: http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/2011/12/cheery-lynn-designs-challenge-8.html.

I hope all of you were able to spend some time doing what you enjoy most today.

Happy 2012!
