New entries for my SNAP journal

Hello Everyone, I hope all of you are not too tired from all of that Black Friday shopping! I myself, did a little cyber shopping but managed to keep the budget under control. As I said earlier in the week I've been working on these dividers for my SNAP journal. here are two more. The first one is a garden theme featuring Tim Holtz dies , some images that I had in my stash of embellishments and of course some flowers. It's hard to see in here but the background paper is from an old seed catalog that I bought in a Thrift Store. The date of the catalog is in the 30's and I also have one from the 40's and 50's. There is also a piece of burlap on there and the bird is stamped with a text stamp (also from Tim Holtz) with paint. The other page is an Asian theme. I love Asian things as my dream has always been to visit that side of the world. Years ago I participated in some Yahoo Groups and we did some swaps and all of these things (except the stamp) were from those Swaps. The Background paper is from Webster's pages ( I think). All of the things I used on these dividers were in by boxes of stuff I held onto for one reason or another. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great weekend! Happy Stamping! Pamela

Little pieces of Art, Bo Bunny Misc Me and SNAP

Happy Thanksgiving, Today I am sharing some of the dividers that I made for my Snap Journal. I needed something I could keep a calendar in and sketch if I need to and also keeps some lists.... The dividers were originally just plain chipboard. They are not from the Snap line of products they are actually from Bo Bunny's Misc Me collection. But I just punched new holes and they worked fine.
This first one is for the portion of the book that I will use for my calendar. I took a bunch of stuff from my scrap bin and added some bits and pieces and Viola! The second one is themed. I chose a theme for some of the others and this one is Paris.
Finally, for those of you that know me-- I always have to have a bunch of "bits" on hand that I've collected. It may be a picture I found, an image I stamped too many of, left over chipboard pieces from a package etc. I used to keep them in a cigar box. But I have outgrown the cigar box. So I needed something else to use. I bought a tablet last year and the box was really nice and sturdy. I had kept it so that if I had to return it I could. So I pulled out the box, covered it with some paper that I had from an Art Supply store and added a little ribbon to the edges to cover where the paper didn't quite meet. Then I used some of the Graphic 45 Bohemia Collection to do the "wings" of the box. I didn't decorate the top or anything because the paper is really quite pretty and I wanted to be able to stack it or put it in a bag if I wanted without worrying about knocking off the decorations. So here it is:
I am so thankful that I have a space to create my little pieces of Art and for each of my creative friends. I hope all of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I'll share more of the dividers over the weekend. Pamela

Back to work

Hi Everyone, sorry for the long absence...my computer went belly up. But I have a new one and now that I have sort of figured out how to work it, I can post again. The good news is that I have a few things to post. First, down to business. I am teaching a couple of classes. There is a mailbox and card class at Busy Scrappin' on Dec 5th, that is a Thursday. Immediately following that class I am doing a vintage Christmas card class also at Busy Scrappin'. You can call them to sign up NLT 3 Dec. The two classes got pushed together because of the inclement weather last week and this week being Thanksgiving. I hope to see you three. The pictures of both are here. Tomorrow, I'll share pictures of a class Saturday morning at 10:30 at Scrappin' Studio in Gretna. These cards use a flip it die...so cute. And finally, stay tuned this week. If you haven't seen me in a bit. I've been in sort of a creative "funk". So I had to step back for a minute. I actually turned the lights off in the craft room and didn't go in there. Then when I came back I just played and made things for me. I think I have the juices flowing again. I've been creating some mini art pieces I can't wait to share. And finally, do you know someone that would enjoy following this blog? Please pass the link along. Happy stamping!!! Pamela
